We are an initiative of people with social awareness and IT expertise who have joined forces to found opentelecom as a social enterprise and thus provide the actors of change with sustainable telephony. On the one hand, we have the many years of experience, the expertise and the tools, and on the other, we are passionate participants and actors in the socio-ecological transition ourselves: communities/GEN, transition network, GWÖ, etc.
We do all this with the motivation to provide our services exclusively to sustainable organisations and companies in the future.
As we are already realising a cloud-based telephone system with various cohabitation communities and other eco-villages are also in discussion with us, we would like to have a transparent system in the long term that is oriented towards the common good and aimed at covering costs, in which all participants can contact each other completely free of charge if they wish.
One possibility that has arisen from the current endeavours is that our supporting company initiates, implements and accompanies a telecommunications company for the transformation sector, in which you, like many other ecovillages, living communities and actors of socio-ecological change, can also participate. This results in transparency, so that we channel our services into channels that correspond to our shared values.
